ABOUT THE RIDE

Join us for an epic road ride from East Aurora to Ellicottville on Saturday, October 1, 2022. The 42-mile route will venture through the fall foliage and rolling hills of Western New York and end with a celebration at the beautiful Holiday Valley.

The EA2EVL Fondo, will benefit the Erie Cattaraugus Rail Trail (ECRT) to continue to build the 27-mile rail trail that runs along the former Buffalo & Pittsburgh rail line from Orchard Park to Ashford, New York.

FAQ's

What type of bike should I ride?
The course is entirely on paved roads so just about any bike will do. Road, mountain, hybrid, recumbent, or E-bike are all great choices.

 

Is there a time limit for the ride?
We suggest being able to maintain an average of 10 mph for the 42 miles.

 

Will there be water stops?
Yes, there will be water stops with water, sports drinks, and nutrition roughly every 8 to 10 miles on the course.

 

Will the ride have on course support?
Tom’s Pro bike will have mechanics on course to provide support in the event riders have mechanical issues. We will also have race personnel keeping track of all cyclists throughout the ride.


Can I bring family and friends to the after-event party?
Yes, the more the merrier! Tickets are not needed for the after-event party, food and drinks can be purchased for those not riding.


Are the fundraising amounts mandatory to ride?
While we encourage everyone to raise money to help support the trail, fundraising goals are not mandatory. By reaching the various fundraising goals you will earn food and drink tickets to the event after party and other great ride premiums.
